Services

Our CARE for Pets program provides assistance to eligible people – Patients with Pets – located in the Lower Hunter Region and Central Coast NSW

CARE for Pets offers the following care options:

‘Temporary Foster Care’ at Foster Carer’s home; ‘Home-alone Care’ in the owner’s home in the owner’s absence; Delivery of Pets to owner’s choice of boarding Kennel or Cattery or friend in another suburb etc.

It is IMPORTANT to note:

Pets that will be leaving the owner’s property must be vaccinated. Call your Veterinarian now to ensure your pets have up-to-date vaccinations.

Temporary Foster CARE

Pets are collected from home* and taken to stay in the care of CARE for Pets foster care volunteers if our client is required to attend hospital for treatment.

Home-alone CARE

Home-alone CARE is when volunteers provide the required service in the pet owners home* while the pet owner is in hospital. This service is only available for pets (i.e cats or birds) that are not distressed when left home alone and for short periods only.

Our volunteers can ensure animals are fed, water bowls and litter trays are refreshed etc. We can also arrange for your pet to be transported to their usual Boarding arrangement.

(* CARE for Pets Volunteers cannot attend a client’s property or collect a pet without a signed permission form)
